WHAT PEOPLE LIKE
comfortable ride
good engine performance

Good real‑world mileage around 45–50 km/l reported by a Nepali Reddit user, close to claimed 58 kmpl
Lightweight and easy to handle in city traffic, suitable for new riders and students
Refined FI BS6 engine with smooth power delivery and comfortable performance at typical city speeds
Stylish, premium retro design that appeals to young buyers and office commuters
Practical features like stop–start system and decent under‑seat comfort for daily commuting
COMMON COMPLAINTS
poor suspension on bad roads
low ground clearance
lack of repair options outside service stations
high cost of ECU replacements
Initial pickup feels slightly delayed and engine struggles or vibrates at higher speeds (past ~60–70 km/h)
Ground clearance is only average for a 125cc scooter and may be a concern on very rough rural roads
Lack of LED lighting and more modern console information compared to newer rivals
Price in Nepal is perceived as slightly on the higher side relative to competing scooters
🇳🇵 NEPAL-SPECIFIC TALK — PRICE, SERVICE, RESALE, ROADS
  • Typical reported mileage in Nepal usage is about 45–50 km/l, lower than the claimed 58 kmpl but still considered good for city commuting.
  • Price in Nepal is around Rs. 2.7–2.8 lakh for the FI BS6 variant, which some buyers feel is a bit expensive compared to rivals, but acceptable for Yamaha brand and FI engine.
  • Ground clearance of about 145 mm is adequate for most Kathmandu/urban roads and speed bumps, but buyers in hilly or rural areas worry about rough, broken roads and scraping.
  • Yamaha’s dealer and service network is present in major cities (e.g., Itahari showroom in reviews), but buyers note that service quality and costs can vary by location.
  • Resale value is expected to be moderate: Yamaha scooters generally hold value decently in cities, but Fascino has less market buzz than Honda Activa/TVS Jupiter, so resale is not a major strong point.
  • Yamaha Fascino 125 FI is priced at NPR 2,49,900 in Nepal
  • First BS6-compliant FI scooter introduced in Nepal
  • Availability of service centers and spare parts in major cities

I was able to ride this scooter 5 days in GOA. It is a very nice scooter and it is very comfortable.

Only Big minus are 1.Ground clearance just 145mm rider must face difficult with big speed breakers 2. Suspension is not so good on bad roads rider can easily get body pains

Yamaha vehicles great weakness is no repair available other than service stations if anything happens we are left on road pushing. I am selling mine due to this reason.

After one month usage i was writing this review, Very worst suspension, Before buying do proper test ride and Bluetooth waste, more vibration. Engine performance good, Auto stop feature good.

I have bought this scooter in July 2024 and driven around 5000km till date: Pros 1 Comfortable for people who are tall. 2. Handling is smooth. Cons 1. Hard suspension, not good on bad roads. 2. Hybrid doesn't much impact fuel mileage, mine is getting 46km.approx. Choose wisely what you need for your daily life.

A Nepali owner on r/Nepal says their Fascino gives roughly 45–50 km per liter in everyday use, which they find acceptable for city commuting.

OWNERS OUTSIDE NEPAL

Owners in India have lived with this for 6 years 8 months

The Yamaha Fascino 125 FI BS6 has been on sale in India longer than in Nepal, so owners there have answered questions Nepali owners are only starting to. This sits alongside the Nepali sentiment above — it does not replace it. It is sold there as the Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi / Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid (BS6).

⚠️ THE NEPAL VERSION IS NOT IDENTICAL
  • Indian discussion and reviews focus heavily on the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid version (with hybrid assist, Bluetooth, and start–stop), while Nepal may sell a non‑hybrid FI BS6 trim or different feature mix; hybrid‑specific praise or complaints may not apply if the Nepal model omits hybrid hardware or connectivity.
  • Some Indian owners mention Bluetooth connectivity and specific feature packs tied to disc‑brake or higher trims; if Nepal offers different variants or equipment levels (brakes, connectivity, cosmetic packages), owner comments on those features may not directly apply to lower‑spec Nepal trims.
GROUND CLEARANCE & ROUGH ROADS
Owners regularly comment that they can feel bad roads but still describe the ride as smooth, suggesting average but adequate ground clearance for Indian city conditions.
REAL-WORLD RANGE
Owner‑reported fuel economy is a major positive: many users cite excellent mileage, often describing it as better than many rival scooters; specific figures mentioned include around 60 km/l in real use and typical ranges around the mid‑40s to mid‑50s km/l.
Several long‑term users (including one claiming over 3 lakh km of riding) state that high mileage remains consistent over years, reinforcing that real‑world fuel efficiency is a core strength.
Mileage figures around 50–60 kmpl, depending on riding style.
SPACE & PRACTICALITY
Owners call the scooter compact and suitable for riders of medium build of both genders, indicating moderate overall space.
Several reviews mention that seat comfort and space are good for city commuting and riding with a pillion, but one detailed review notes under‑seat storage is inadequate compared with expectations and there is no external fuel filler.
Spacious under-seat storage accommodating a helmet and daily essentials.
COMFORT & RIDE
Comfort is one of the most frequently praised aspects: many owners say the Fascino 125 is very comfortable, smooth to ride, and suitable for long city commutes and occasional longer rides.
Suspension is described as highly effective and providing a smooth riding experience, with some owners highlighting its ability to keep the ride comfortable even when roads are not very good.
Seat comfort is rated positively by several owners, who specifically mention good seat cushioning and comfort with a pillion.
A minority of owners report that the scooter becomes uncomfortable over time and requires more maintenance, suggesting that comfort can decline as the vehicle ages.
PERFORMANCE
Owners consistently describe the 125cc engine as smooth with good pickup and brisk acceleration for city use, including with a pillion rider.
Multiple reviews praise it as one of the best performers in its segment for typical urban traffic conditions.
Several long‑term users note that the scooter remains stable and confidence‑inspiring at normal city speeds, though it is not a high‑speed or performance‑oriented scooter.
At least one owner reports an ECU (engine control unit) problem leading to running issues, indicating that electronic faults can occur.
TECHNOLOGY & SCREENS
Indian owners frequently mention and value hybrid assist features, Bluetooth connectivity, and the engine start–stop system as useful and modern.
Reviews highlight user‑friendly features (easy starting, light weight, smooth throttle, and basic connectivity) as part of the appeal, but note that it does not have very advanced electronics beyond the hybrid and connectivity package.
Hybrid power assist provides smooth initial pickup, beneficial in city traffic.
BUILD QUALITY
Owners often describe the Fascino 125 as having good overall quality, elegant and stylish design, and solid fit and finish for the price, with repeated comments about it feeling premium in styling.
Some owners state that the scooter feels durable and has held up well over several years of use, while one or two mention that it requires more maintenance and that they are "not fully satisfied" with long‑term performance, implying generally good but not flawless build quality.
Some concerns about plastic material quality.
RELIABILITY
Several owners report using the scooter for years (4+ years or very high kilometre counts) with no major problems, describing it as reliable, durable and suitable for daily commuting.
At least one owner reports an ECU problem, and another notes that the scooter becomes uncomfortable and needs more maintenance over time, suggesting that electrical or age‑related issues can occur in some units.
Aggregate owner ratings on Indian platforms (typically around 4.0–4.1 out of 5 with dozens of reviews) indicate overall above‑average reliability satisfaction, though not perfect.
Instances of ECU issues reported, leading to starting problems.
RAISED IN INDIA — BUT DOES NOT CARRY OVER TO NEPAL

Resale value, service and spare-part costs, warranty terms and charging coverage are set by each market — different duty, different dealer networks, a different used-car market. Read these as context on the vehicle's reputation, never as figures for Nepal.

  • Many Indian owners comment that the purchase price is on the higher side compared with rivals and that maintenance costs and service quality at local dealerships can be unsatisfying; these views reflect Indian market conditions and dealer networks, not Nepal.
  • Several reviews discuss value for money, local resale expectations, and experiences with nearby showrooms and spare‑part availability; all of these are shaped by the Indian market and should not be assumed for Nepal.
  • Service experience varies; some users report below-average dealer service.
  • Service costs and spare parts availability may differ by region.

Owner satisfaction in India: 82/100. This is a reading of India owners only — it is not a Nepal sentiment score and is not counted in one.
