Editorial Policy, Sourcing & Corrections
Effective and last updated: July 24, 2026
Nepal AutoMart exists to give buyers in Nepal accurate, verifiable vehicle prices and specifications. This page explains who is accountable for that accuracy, where our data comes from, how we verify it, how we distinguish confirmed facts from estimates, and how to get an error corrected.

Where our data comes from
We anchor vehicle data to the official Nepal distributorfor each brand wherever one exists — their published price lists, brochures, and specification pages are our primary source. When a distributor source is unavailable, we fall back, in order, to the manufacturer’s global specifications and established market references, and we label the data accordingly.
- New vehicle ex-showroom prices: official Nepal distributor price lists and brochures
- Specifications: distributor and manufacturer technical sources, cross-checked across variants
- Tax, duty, and registration: Nepal government Finance Acts, tax schedules, and NRB / DoTM notices
- Insurance: the Nepal Insurance Authority tariff and licensed insurers
- Used-market values: our own analysis of listings, modelled against replacement cost — always shown as an estimate
How we verify and keep data fresh
Verification is largely automated and runs continuously, not as a one-off. Automated checks re-read distributor price lists and specification pages on a daily cycle and flag any figure that has drifted from our stored value for review before it is corrected.
- Daily distributor price and specification re-checks, with automatic flagging of changes
- Price-change and new-variant detection from Nepal news, re-verified against the distributor before any update
- A “last verified” or “specs verified” date shown on vehicle pages so you can see how current a figure is
- Image and content quality checks to keep photos and descriptions accurate to the vehicle
Confirmed data vs estimates vs opinion
We label these three differently and never present one as another:
- Confirmed data — ex-showroom prices and specifications sourced from a distributor or manufacturer, with a verification date.
- Estimates — used-vehicle values, on-road totals, EMI figures, and any price for a model not yet officially launched in Nepal. These are clearly marked as estimates or predictions, never as quotes.
- Editorial analysis — our assessment of whether a vehicle suits a buyer, based on its stated specifications, price, and market position. Where we describe how a vehicle performs, we mean the manufacturer's stated figures and our analysis, not a first-hand road test, unless a review explicitly states otherwise.
Final prices always depend on variant, colour, offers, and dealer terms — confirm the exact figure with the authorized dealer before purchase.
Corrections policy
If you find a price, specification, or dealer detail that is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will check it against the source and correct it. Because our data is verified against distributor sources on a daily cycle, most confirmed errors are corrected quickly.
- Report an error by email to nepalautomart@bestintake.com, ideally with the page link and the correct figure or source.
- We verify the report against the official source before changing published data.
- When we correct a figure, the page's verification date is updated to reflect the change.
