Updated Tata Punch EV spotted testing in Nepal
Sipradi Trading, the authorised distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, has brought in the **new Tata Punch EV facelift and started local road tests ahead of an official launch announcement. Industry sources say the compact electric SUV will be shown to the public at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which is scheduled to begin on Shrawan 26**.
The Punch EV was already on sale in Nepal in its earlier form. The new version adds a larger battery, more equipment and revised styling. It is aimed at buyers looking for an affordable city EV with better real‑world range.
Bigger battery, more range
The new Punch EV will reportedly offer two battery choices: 30 kWh and 40 kWh, up from the earlier 25 kWh and 35 kWh packs.
- 30 kWh Punch EV: claimed ARAI range around 280 km, with "real‑world" range targets of up to about 365 km, according to the information shared.
- 40 kWh Punch EV: claimed ARAI range around 468 km, with an expected usable range in the 335–355 km band in everyday driving.
