Tata’s Punch EV is now a more interesting option for Nepal’s compact EV buyers thanks to its Rs 33.99 lakh starting price, two battery choices, and DC fast charging support. Sipradi Trading also gives it an advantage in Nepal through its established sales and after-sales network.

Where it sits in Tata’s Nepal line-up

The Punch EV sits above the **Tata Tiago EV at Rs 28.99 lakh–Rs 29.99 lakh and the Tata Tigor EV at Rs 29.99 lakh–Rs 34 lakh, while staying below the Tata XPRES-T EV at Rs 38.49 lakh and the Tata Nexon EV at Rs 38.99 lakh–Rs 50.99 lakh**. That makes it a middle-ground Tata EV for buyers who want more SUV stance than the Tiago EV or Tigor EV, but do not want to move up to the Nexon EV.

The smaller battery version makes 65 kW, while the larger pack gets a 95 kW motor. Both use a front-wheel-drive setup. With a compatible fast charger, the battery can go from 20 percent to 80 percent in around 26 minutes.

Why it matters for Nepal buyers

The Punch EV’s sub-4-meter size, high ground clearance and compact cabin package suit crowded city roads, while the fast-charging support makes it more usable for longer trips. It also gets six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tire pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and high-beam assist.

Sipradi says it has already expanded EV support infrastructure, including charging and dedicated EV service facilities, which is important for buyers who are still cautious about servicing and parts support outside Kathmandu.
