Great Wall Motors (GWM) is gearing up to showcase its first pure-electric Haval SUV in Nepal. The **Haval Jolion Max EV is confirmed for unveiling at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo starting on August 11 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu**, as per the company's announcement.

What is the Jolion Max EV?

The Jolion Max EV is a new, slightly larger version of the existing Haval Jolion, positioned between the regular Jolion and the bigger Haval H6 in global markets. According to international reports, the Jolion Max EV is expected to share its electric hardware with the **GWM ORA 5** compact electric sedan.

Based on overseas specifications: - Motor: 150 kW front-mounted electric motor driving the front wheels - Battery: 58.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate pack - Claimed range: around 400–430 km on a full charge under test-cycle conditions - Fast charging: up to 120 kW DC, with a claimed 30–80% charge in about 20 minutes on a suitable fast charger

GWM Nepal has not yet released official Nepali-market figures, so these numbers should be treated as indicative, based on international data.

Bigger than the current Jolion

The Jolion Max is larger than the petrol Jolion already sold in Nepal. Globally, it measures 4590 mm long, 1877 mm wide, 1675 mm high, with a 2710 mm wheelbase, compared with the regular Jolion at about 4470 mm length and 2700 mm wheelbase. It offers a ground clearance of 167 mm.

For Nepali buyers, this means: - More interior space than the standard Jolion - Potentially better rear-seat comfort and luggage room

The current petrol Jolion in Nepal starts from around Rs 57.50 lakh, depending on variant. Pricing for the Jolion Max EV in Nepal is not yet announced. The company is expected to reveal details at or around the expo.

What will be confirmed at NAIMA

At this stage, GWM Nepal has not disclosed the full feature list, interior design, or safety equipment for the Jolion Max EV. International previews point to a modern cabin with a large touchscreen and extensive driver-assistance features, but the exact specification for Nepal will only be clear after the official launch.

Buyers visiting the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo can expect to see: - Final Nepal-spec battery, range and charging details - Feature and safety package for local models - Indicative pricing, booking plans, and delivery timelines

For Nepali EV shoppers, the Jolion Max EV will sit in the mid-size electric SUV segment, offering more space than smaller EVs while potentially undercutting larger premium electric SUVs on price. It will also give existing Haval Jolion owners a clear upgrade path to a fully electric alternative.
