Tata Motors and Sipradi Trading have expanded their electric vehicle lineup in Nepal with the launch of the **updated Tata Nexon EV Reload and the showcase of the Tata Sierra EV at the NADA Auto Show 2026**. The Nexon EV Reload, featuring a bigger battery and improved range, is now available for order through Tata's dealer network.
In Tata's Nepal lineup, the Nexon EV Reload is positioned above the Tata XPRES-T EV at Rs 38.49 lakh and the Tata Tigor EV at Rs 29.99 lakh – Rs 34 lakh. The Nexon EV Reload itself is priced between Rs 38.99 lakh and Rs 50.99 lakh, across four variants: Prime XM (Rs 38.99 lakh), Prime XZ+ (Rs 40.99 lakh), Prime XZ+ Lux (Rs 42.99 lakh) and the top Empowered+ 45 at Rs 50.99 lakh. Notably, during the NADA show, the Nexon EV Reload is offered at a special price of Rs 42.49 lakh, down from its official price of Rs 43.99 lakh.
Battery, range and motor
The updated Nexon EV Reload runs on a 45 kWh prismatic battery. Tata claims up to 375 km of range on a full charge. Power comes from a 98 kW electric motor, which makes it noticeably quicker than the smaller Tigor EV and XPRES-T EV in Tata's local range.
On charging, the Nexon EV supports 7.2 kW AC charging at home or office. It also supports DC fast charging up to 60 kW for quicker top-ups at compatible public stations.
Regenerative braking
The reloaded Nexon EV comes with four levels of regenerative braking. Drivers can pick how hard the car slows down and recovers energy when they lift off the accelerator. This should help stretch range in city traffic and on Nepal's hill roads, where lifting off and coasting happens often.
Sierra EV and Other Offers
Alongside the Nexon EV Reload, Tata has unveiled the Sierra EV, marking its entry into the premium electric SUV segment in Nepal. The Sierra EV is designed with attractive styling, excellent performance, and a spacious interior. Sipradi Trading has opened pre-bookings for the Sierra EV, with deliveries expected to start around the upcoming Dashain festival.
Additionally, Tata is offering discounts on other models during the NADA show. The Tata Tiago EV and Punch EV have received a Rs 1 lakh discount, making them available at Rs 27.99 lakh and Rs 32.99 lakh, respectively.
The bigger battery, stronger motor, and four variants spread across Rs 38.99 lakh to Rs 50.99 lakh make the updated Nexon EV Tata's flagship electric SUV in Nepal. It's aimed at buyers looking to move up from smaller EVs or petrol crossovers.
