Tata Motors’ Nexon EV line-up is now part of Nepal’s electric car market, giving buyers two closely related options at different price points. The standard Nexon EV starts at Rs 35.99 lakh, while the larger Nexon EV Max is priced from Rs 46.49 lakh in Nepal.

What Nepal buyers get

The regular Nexon EV was launched in Nepal through Sipradi Trading, with Tata positioning it as an entry point into electric SUVs for personal use. Reports also note that it is offered in XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux trims, along with battery and vehicle warranty coverage for the Nepal market.

The Nexon EV Max sits above it in the range and is sold with a 40.5 kWh battery pack, a 100 kW motor, and a claimed driving range of 453 km. It is also listed with a 7.2 kW AC charger option, which is aimed at faster home charging than a basic socket setup.

Why this matters for EV shoppers

For Nepali buyers, the launch gives a clearer choice between a more affordable compact EV and a more expensive version with longer range and stronger equipment. The standard Nexon EV is likely to appeal to city users and first-time EV buyers, while the Nexon EV Max is better suited to customers who want fewer charging stops and more touring confidence.

Tata’s Nepal launch also shows how EV choices are expanding beyond small hatchbacks and scooters into family-size SUVs. That is important for buyers who want an electric vehicle that can handle daily urban driving while still offering practical space and road presence.
