What changed
Tata Motors has taken the next Nexon deeper into road testing, and the latest prototypes show a boxier rear, a flatter roofline and a more upright tailgate. Launch timing is still not official, but the new model is expected in 2027.
Nepal angle
In Nepal, Tata already sells the Nexon EV at Rs 38.99 lakh to Rs 50.99 lakh. It sits above the Punch EV at Rs 33.99 lakh to Rs 37.99 lakh and below the Nexon at Rs 43.99 lakh to Rs 59.99 lakh. That means the next-gen Nexon matters here because any fresh India launch usually shapes what Nepali buyers see next, especially on price and cabin space.
What the spy shots point to
The new prototype also shows a higher fuel-filler position, a larger rear glass area and a less coupe-like stance. Tata is likely to keep the 1.2-litre turbo petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and CNG options in some form, while the Nexon EV should get the same generation later.
A fuller cabin redesign is still expected. For Nepali buyers, the main question will be whether the next Nexon stays close to today’s price ladder or moves further upmarket.
