Maruti Suzuki has begun road testing the facelifted version of the Fronx. Recent spy images of a camouflaged prototype indicate that the compact crossover is set for a mid-lifecycle update, which is expected to arrive in 2027.
Expected Upgrades
The test vehicle shows a revised front grille design, likely modified to house a radar module for Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). If this hardware reaches production, the Fronx could gain features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assistance. The prototype also appears to be equipped with rear disc brakes, a notable hardware change from the current drum brake setup.
Under the hood, the facelift is expected to replace the current 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K-Series petrol engine with the newer 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-Series engine. Cabin updates may include features like ventilated front seats and wireless charging, similar to recent updates seen in the Baleno.
Market Positioning
While these spy shots provide a glimpse into the development of the updated model, official specifications and a launch timeline for the Nepali market have not been confirmed.
Our own record on this
Suzuki Fronx: 1 · Suzuki Brezza: 19. Each is a dated change we applied to a published ex-showroom price after checking it. A logged change may be a distributor's revision or our own correction coming into line with the official figure — the log says which way each one moved, and when, not why.
