Nepal’s two major auto shows in August and September are shaping up to be busy for two-wheeler buyers, with at least eight new motorcycles and scooters expected to debut. The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo starts on August 11, while the NADA Auto Show begins on August 25.
What buyers can expect
According to the latest announcements and distributor plans, the most talked-about arrivals include Yatri P2, Hero VIDA, TVS RTX 300, Yamaha XSR155, Ultraviolette X47, Moto Morini Alltrhike 250, and Bajaj Chetak 2501 and Chetak 3503. Some brands have not yet shared full launch details, so more models may still be added.
Key models to watch
- Yatri P2: This is expected to be the biggest headline at NAIMA because it is the first electric scooter designed and built in Nepal. It has been developed by Yatri Motorcycles in partnership with Sipradi Trading.
- Hero VIDA: CG Motors is preparing to introduce Hero MotoCorp’s EV brand in Nepal, giving buyers another option in the growing electric scooter segment.
- TVS RTX 300: Jagdamba Motors is expected to bring TVS Motor’s first adventure motorcycle to Nepal.
- Ultraviolette X47: Vaidya’s Organization is set to launch Ultraviolette’s premium electric motorcycle at the expo.
- Moto Morini Alltrhike 250: This new 250 cc adventure motorcycle is also expected from the same distributor.
- Yamaha XSR155: MAW Rides is preparing the retro-styled Yamaha model for the NADA Auto Show.
- Bajaj Chetak 2501 and 3503: Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. is expected to widen the Chetak range beyond the currently sold Chetak 3501.
Why this matters for buyers
The next two months could be important for Nepali two-wheeler shoppers because the shows are likely to bring a mix of electric scooters, premium motorcycles, and adventure bikes in one place. For buyers waiting for fresh options, the strongest interest is likely to be around the Yatri P2 and the new electric scooters, but the final market impact will depend on confirmed specs, prices, and booking timelines at launch.
