Wuling is preparing to bring back the Bingo electric hatchback in Nepal, with Lite and Pro variants expected to reach the market in the coming weeks, according to the announcement.

The return matters for Nepali EV buyers because the Bingo sits in the same compact city-car space as the BYD Atto 1, a model that has quickly built momentum in Nepal’s affordable EV segment.

What the Bingo brings

  • Battery: 31.9 kWh LFP pack
  • Range: up to 333 km on the CLTC cycle
  • Motor: 50 kW electric motor
  • Top speed: 120 km/h
  • Charging: 30% to 80% in about 35 minutes on DC fast charging
  • AC charging: 20% to 100% in about 5.5 hours

The hatchback measures 3,950 mm in length, 1,708 mm in width and 1,580 mm in height, with a 2,560 mm wheelbase. It rides on 15-inch steel wheels with 185/60 R15 tyres and has disc brakes on all four wheels.

Lite vs Pro

The two versions share the same mechanical package, but their equipment differs.

  • Lite: halogen headlamps, manual driver’s seat adjustment
  • Pro: X-shaped LED headlights, dual-tone wheel covers, six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat

Both trims are expected to get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual 10.25-inch displays, keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control, automatic climate control, a multifunction steering wheel and a four-speaker audio system.

Safety and market position

Safety features listed for the model include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, auto hold and TPMS.

For buyers, the key question will be price. If Paramount Motors prices the Bingo aggressively, it could emerge as a serious alternative to the BYD Atto 1 in Nepal’s compact EV market.
