Svolt, a battery manufacturer originating from Great Wall Motor, has started mass production of its new 100 kWh semi-solid battery packs. The first batch of these units, branded as 'Dragon Armor', rolled off the production line at the company's facility in Changzhou, China, on October 26, 2026.
This battery uses a 900-volt high-voltage system and supports 6C fast-charging technology. The manufacturer claims this allows a vehicle to add 500 km of driving range in 12 minutes. The design includes liquid cooling on both the top and bottom of the pack, along with a six-layer safety structure at the base.
Svolt states the battery is rated for over 3,000 charging cycles, which could theoretically support a vehicle lifespan exceeding 1 million kilometers. While the company has confirmed that multiple customers have selected this battery for their vehicle programs, it has not yet named the specific car models that will use it. Details regarding the vehicles are expected to be released soon.
