Leapmotor will officially unveil updated versions of its B01 sedan and B10 SUV in China on July 16, after opening pre-orders earlier in the month, according to the company announcement reported by CnEVPost. The move extends Leapmotor’s recent product push in its B-series, which sits below its larger C-series models in price and positioning.
For Nepal, the story is relevant because Leapmotor already has a footprint in the market through local sales of the T03 and B10, and the brand is preparing more models for Nepal, according to Nepal-based auto reporting and the company’s Nepal-facing presence. That means the new B01 and refreshed B10 could eventually shape what Nepali buyers see in showrooms, especially if the company expands its EV lineup here after the China launch.
The updated models bring a longer feature list rather than a wholesale redesign. The B01 is said to gain a 50-inch AR head-up display, a 17.3-inch central screen and new exterior colors, while the B10 gets a larger 55-inch AR-HUD, dual zero-gravity front seats and a flexible interior setup. Both are built on an 800-volt architecture and are offered only as battery-electric vehicles.
Pricing for the refreshed versions has not been disclosed yet. For context, the current China-market B10 started at 99,800 yuan and the B01 at 89,800 yuan; at rough market conversion, those figures translate to about Rs 19.1 lakh and Rs 17.2 lakh respectively before taxes, freight and Nepal importer margins.
For Nepali buyers, the main takeaway is simple: if these models come here, they could offer a lower-cost alternative to pricier compact EVs already on the market, though final showroom prices in Nepal would likely be much higher than China list prices after duties and localization costs. The B10’s stronger range and richer equipment could also pressure competitors in the compact electric SUV segment, where value and real-world range are key buying factors.
