Jetour’s planned entry into Nepal has been disrupted by the recent Bhotekoshi flood. Laxmi Group’s Laxmi Motorhub, which is preparing to introduce the Chinese SUV brand here, had brought in Jetour T1 PHEV and T2 PHEV for a public debut at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo in Kathmandu. Those SUVs were stranded along the Bhotekoshi route and have not yet reached the Capital, delaying the brand’s first local showcase.
New Jetour Tourer electric SUV in the works
While the Nepal debut waits for a fresh logistics window, Jetour is also advancing a new compact electric SUV for global markets. The production model, currently referred to as the Jetour Tourer, has appeared in China’s MIIT homologation documents after being previewed earlier in 2026 as the Jetour TX concept at Auto China in Beijing.
The Tourer will sit below the T1 and T2 in Jetour’s SUV range but keeps a boxy, off‑road‑inspired design similar to the T2. Key styling cues include a wraparound windscreen, sharply cut body panels and a full‑width gloss‑black panel front and rear with four round lights integrated into it.
According to the filing, the Tourer measures 4,475 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and up to 1,710 mm tall, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase and 18- or 19-inch wheels. For reference, the Jetour T1 is around 4,705 mm long, while the T2 is around 4,785 mm, so the Tourer is noticeably more compact.
Powertrain details show single- and dual-motor options. The single-motor rear‑drive version is rated at 200 kW (272 PS), while the dual-motor all‑wheel‑drive variant goes up to 275 kW (374 PS). Battery size and driving range are yet to be disclosed.
Jetour is reportedly evaluating the Tourer for markets outside China. There is no confirmation yet for Nepal, but if the model is cleared for export, it could eventually join the brand’s future electric lineup here once Jetour’s operations with Laxmi Group are underway.
