Force Motors has introduced the new Urbania Deluxe, and it takes over as the main model in the company’s premium shared-mobility range. The existing Urbania is replaced by this version. It is aimed at buyers looking for a more comfortable and better-equipped passenger van.
What is new
According to the company, the Urbania Deluxe gets a more refined cabin, stronger performance and a wider list of convenience and safety features. Force Motors says the van was developed on its modular monocoque platform. It describes this as the first of its kind in India for this segment.
Engine and performance
The biggest update is under the bonnet. The Urbania Deluxe uses a 2.6-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine based on Mercedes-Benz technology, with outputs of 134 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Force Motors says this setup improves pickup, drivability and overall performance.
Cabin and features
Inside, the van gets a more premium setup with leatherette seats, matching upholstery and floating flooring for a more upmarket feel. It also comes with a TFT instrument cluster and a 9-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, online and offline navigation, an HD reverse camera, voice alerts and hands-free Bluetooth calling.
Safety and practicality
Safety equipment includes three-point seat belts for every passenger, dual airbags for the driver and front passenger, all-wheel disc brakes, ESP, ABS, EBD and engine drag torque control. The van also gets 16-inch alloy wheels, a power-operated sliding footstep, USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports for all rows, and an 8-speaker digital theatre system.
Price and availability
Force Motors says the Urbania Deluxe will be sold through its authorised dealers across India, with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 28.70 lakh. For Nepali buyers, the model matters as a premium van option in the India-market passenger segment. Local availability has not been announced in the source report.
