Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Baleno facelift in India, updating its popular premium hatchback with more technology, safety and comfort features.

Key mechanical update

- 1.2‑litre Z‑Series three‑cylinder petrol engine now powers the car, replacing the previous 1.2‑litre unit. - Buyers get a choice of manual and automatic gearbox options. - A CNG variant of the Baleno continues to be offered in the range.

Safety and tech features

- The hatchback now offers Level 2 ADAS with features such as adaptive cruise control, advanced emergency braking and lane keep assist. - Ventilated front seats are available for added comfort in hot weather. - A QI‑certified wireless charger is offered for compatible smartphones.

Design and cabin changes

- The front gets a larger grille, new bumper and revised air intake. - New alloy wheels, updated tail‑lamps and a reworked rear bumper give it a fresher look. - Inside, there is a driver‑focused central dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system and a premium Clarion sound system.
