Maruti Suzuki’s Eeco multi-purpose van has crossed 15 lakh units in cumulative sales since it first went on sale in 2010.
The Eeco’s growth has accelerated over time: the first 5 lakh units took about 8 years, the next 5 lakh were sold in around 5 years, and the latest 5 lakh were added in roughly 3.5 years, making this the van’s fastest 5‑lakh sales cycle so far.
Company data for FY 2025/26 shows that around 65% of Eeco sales now come from rural markets, highlighting its role as an affordable people and cargo mover outside big cities. About 55% of buyers are purchasing a car for the first time, and more than 51% of customers use the Eeco for business, such as transport, logistics and institutional fleets.
The Eeco is offered in 13 variants, including 5- and 6-seater passenger versions, Tour trims, ambulance configurations and cargo models, with both petrol and CNG engine options.
Under the bonnet, the van uses a 1.2‑litre K‑series petrol engine. Key safety features available include a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a seat belt reminder and a high-speed alert system.
In Nepal, the Eeco is one of the most popular mini vans, seen more in school and office transport and commercial use than in purely private family ownership. CG Motocorp is the official distributor of Suzuki cars in Nepal, and Eeco passenger and cargo variants are currently on sale through its network.
