
Denza has started sales of the B5 plug-in hybrid SUV in Nepal. Cimex Inc. is the authorized distributor for BYD and Denza. The SUV was launched at the **NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 in Kathmandu, and the price is Rs 29.7 million**.

Powertrain and range
The B5 uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with BYD's DMO Super Hybrid system. The petrol engine makes 181 hp and 260 Nm of torque.
It gets a 31.8 kWh LFP battery and an 83-liter fuel tank. The claimed combined WLTP range is 850 km. The electric-only range is around 80 km, depending on specification.
The SUV has all-wheel drive with dual electric motors. The front motor produces 200 kW, the rear motor produces 285 kW, and the combined output is 425 kW and 760 Nm.
Other features
Denza says the B5 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It also gets locking differentials on both axles, 100 kW DC fast charging, 11 kW AC charging, BYD's Blade Battery, and Cell-to-Chassis technology.
The SUV is built on a body-on-frame platform. It also includes adaptive suspension, a panoramic roof, a Devialet sound system, massaging seats, and a built-in refrigerator.
