Dang E-Drive: Ride-Sharing Arrives in Dang Valley

Dang has its first app-based ride-sharing platform. Dang E-Drive Pvt Ltd is now running in the district, offering trips in and around Dang Valley.

Nepali Congress leader and former Lumbini Province industry, tourism and transport minister Prachandavikram Nyaupane formally inaugurated the service on Friday. Ahead of the launch, the company contributed Rs 55,555 to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for flood-affected citizens of Bhotekoshi and Trishuli.

Fleet and Pricing

Dang E-Drive has started with a mixed fleet of 11 CG Motors electric cars, 10 motorcycles and 8 autos currently in service. Each CG Motors EV costs around Rs 58 lakh. The electric cars are the premium option in the line-up.

Local Investment, Local Backing

Local youth have invested in the platform in partnership with Pathao. The venture is expected to create jobs in the district and add a digital option to Dang's transport network.

Eleven partners run Dang E-Drive. They include Tulsiour Chamber of Industry and Commerce president Binil KC, along with members of police families, transport entrepreneurs and professionals from the hospital sector. The mix reflects fairly broad local backing for the new service.
