Beyond the front end, the bike receives new fuel tank shrouds with integrated LED turn signals and revised side panels. The motorcycle retains its 125cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 15 PS and 11.5 Nm of torque. It continues to use a six-speed gearbox and the established Deltabox perimeter frame.
Technological upgrades include a new TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and navigation support. The bike also features traction control, a slipper clutch, 41 mm upside-down front forks, and a rear mono-shock.
Yamaha does not sell the MT-125 in Nepal, where the MT-15 remains the primary offering in this segment. The updated model is scheduled to reach European showrooms in the first quarter of 2027.
The 2027 MT-125 brings a more aggressive look and modern tech to the small-displacement streetfighter class.
