Sipradi Trading and Prime Renewables have operated a rooftop solar PV plant at Sipradi’s Kapan workshop in Kathmandu. The system has a capacity of 86.4 kWp. Sipradi CEO Rajan Babu Shrestha and Prime Renewables chairman Aashish Garg opened it jointly.
The companies say the plant was built in just 3 months and uses AI-based green energy digital technology. It is expected to produce about 1.4 lakh units of clean electricity every year.
Sipradi says the move will help make EV charging, servicing and maintenance cleaner. It will also lower electricity use at the workshop.
Prime Renewables says combining solar power with auto service operations can reduce carbon emissions. It also says the project can support a more sustainable EV ecosystem in Nepal.
