Nepal’s mid-range EV market is becoming one of the busiest price bands to watch ahead of NADA Auto Show 2026. The fight is centred on vehicles priced around Rs 3 million to Rs 4 million, where buyers are comparing not only cost but also range, battery size, ground clearance, cabin space and service support.

Where these models sit in Nepal

Dongfeng Nammi Vigo

  • **BYD ATTO 1 is listed at Rs 29.75 lakh to Rs 33.80 lakh**, placing it close to the BYD Dolphin, for which Kuzu Nepal has not announced a price.
  • **Dongfeng Nammi Vigo is listed at Rs 35.99 lakh to Rs 43.99 lakh**, and it sits above the Dongfeng Nammi Box, which is sold at Rs 30.24 lakh to Rs 36.75 lakh.
  • **Tata Punch EV is listed at Rs 33.99 lakh to Rs 37.99 lakh**, slotting above the Tata Tiago EV at Rs 28.99 lakh to Rs 29.99 lakh and below the Tata Nexon EV at Rs 38.99 lakh to Rs 50.99 lakh.

The recent price cut on the Dongfeng Nammi Vigo has added extra pressure to this segment. Other models in the same competitive space include the Chery Q, Tata Tiago EV, Arcfox T1 and BYD Atto 1, making this one of the tightest EV price battles in Nepal.

What buyers should watch at NADA

NADA Auto Show 2026 is set for August 25 to 30 at Bhrikutimandap. Brands are expected to use the event to push cash discounts, exchange bonuses, free accessories and financing offers.

The bigger question is whether the current price changes will remain limited-time offers or trigger longer-term price cuts. If more brands adjust pricing to stay competitive, buyers could see even stronger value in this bracket.

After bookings, delivery speed may become just as important as the headline price. Spare parts supply, service coverage, technician availability and resale value will also shape which EVs win in this segment.
