Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, has released a new TV commercial titled "Redefine Your Everyday" for the Proton e.MAS 5 compact electric SUV. This launch coincides with the opening of a new Proton showroom in Janakpur, expanding the brand's presence across Nepal.
Four stories, one electric SUV
The master film follows four everyday journeys. A young entrepreneur stands at a turning point in his career. An artist searches for spaces that spark ideas. A group of friends sets off on a spontaneous road trip, and a family spends quality time together. The campaign builds on these stories to show how the Proton e.MAS 5 fits into modern urban life. The focus stays on people, not specs.
Space, comfort, and practicality
The TVC highlights the e.MAS 5's spacious cabin, comfortable interior, and everyday practicality. Key talking points include:
- rear-wheel drive setup
- Prime and Premium variants for Nepal
- 32 smart storage compartments
- a 70-litre front trunk (frunk)
- a 14.6-inch full HD touchscreen
- vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality for powering external devices
Modern features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available, enhancing the vehicle's appeal to tech-savvy consumers.
Jagdamba Motors says shorter cuts of each of the four lifestyle stories will roll out over the coming weeks on Proton Nepal's official digital platforms.
Expanding Proton's footprint in Nepal
In addition to the TVC, Jagdamba Motors has inaugurated a new regional showroom in Janakpur, taking its nationwide network to 10 operational Proton showrooms. This expansion is part of Jagdamba Motors' efforts to strengthen Proton's sales and customer support network beyond the Kathmandu Valley and improve access to electric mobility in regional markets.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kishori Sah, Deputy Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, along with key business partners, media representatives, auto journalists, and local dignitaries. The strong turnout at the event highlighted the growing interest in electric vehicles and the increasing demand for modern mobility solutions in Janakpur and surrounding areas.
The Proton e.MAS 5 is available in Prime and Premium variants, with starting prices of NPR 32.99 lakh and NPR 36.99 lakh respectively. The model, which has won several awards in Malaysia, combines modern technology with intelligent design, making it a suitable choice for urban lifestyles.
According to Sushil Kshetri, Senior General Manager of Jagdamba Motors, the regional public introduction campaign for this vehicle began in Bhaktapur and will conclude in Birgunj, passing through Dhangadhi and Janakpur.
This dual approach of launching a captivating TVC and expanding the showroom network underscores Proton's commitment to making electric mobility more accessible and appealing to a broader audience in Nepal.
