Proton e.MAS 5 Reaches Nepal via Korala Border
Proton's new compact electric SUV, the **e.MAS 5, has arrived in Nepal. Official distributor Jagdamba Motors** is routing shipments through the Korala border after floods shut the Kerung crossing in mid-Bhadra.
The company has launched the SUV in two variants — Prime and Premium. Introductory prices of Rs 29.99 lakh for Prime and Rs 34.99 lakh for Premium are meant for early customers.
- Prime: 30.12 kWh battery, 58 kW motor, claimed 225 km range
- Premium: 40.16 kWh battery, 85 kW motor, claimed 325 km range
Inside, the e.MAS 5 gets a 14.6-inch central screen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. There's also a multifunction steering wheel, a 50 W wireless phone charger, ambient lighting and keyless entry.
On safety, Proton has fitted 6 airbags, ADAS features and a 360-degree camera.
Proton developed the e.MAS 5 under its partnership with Geely. Units are now entering Nepal via Korala. Jagdamba Motors says deliveries to customers will start soon.
