Dongfeng Nissan has shown the NX7 plug-in hybrid crossover in China during homologation. Nepal availability has not been confirmed.
The NX7 sits between the X-Trail and Murano in size. It measures 4785/1932/1665 mm and has a 2,815 mm wheelbase. Nissan’s latest design cues are on display, including split headlights, a closed front section, semi-hidden door handles, and a single taillight strip.
Under the skin, the NX7 combines a NR15 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a motor rated at 170 kW (228 hp) peak output. The plug-in hybrid system uses a 40.95 kWh LFP battery supplied by the CATL-FAW joint venture. The crossover is claimed to have 225 km of EV-only range under CLTC conditions.
Other declared figures include a top speed of 180 km/h, 4.82 liters per 100 km fuel use with the battery drained, and curb weight ranging from 1,915 kg to 2,000 kg depending on equipment. Features listed so far include a panoramic roof, surround-view camera, optional LiDAR, and wheel sizes of 245/60 R18 or 235/55 R19.
For Nepal, the relevance is straightforward. If Nissan or a local importer eventually brings the NX7 here, it could sit above compact crossovers and appeal to buyers looking for a long-range electrified SUV with less charging dependence. For now, no Nepal launch date, distributor confirmation, or price has been announced.
