Hyundai is working on the next-generation Creta, codenamed SX3, and the SUV is being tipped for a launch later this year or early 2027. The new model is expected to bring a more angular exterior, pixel-style lighting, a Pleos Connect-based cabin and a hybrid powertrain built around the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
What this could mean for Nepal
In Nepal, the closest reference point is the **Hyundai Creta FL, which is already sold at Rs 55.56 lakh–Rs 80.56 lakh. Hyundai also sells the Hyundai Creta EV at Rs 51.96 lakh–Rs 76.96 lakh, the Hyundai Kona EV at Rs 59.96 lakh–Rs 64.96 lakh, the Hyundai Venue at Rs 40.96 lakh–Rs 59.96 lakh, and the Hyundai i20 at Rs 36.96 lakh–Rs 46.96 lakh**. If the new Creta reaches Nepal, it would likely sit in the same upper-compact-SUV bracket as the current Creta. It would not drop below the Venue.
The latest renderings suggest a noticeably taller and more upright nose, slimmer pixel-style LED DRLs, deep-set headlamps and a cleaner grille treatment. At the rear, the design is shown with horizontal pixel-style tail lamps, a connected light bar and a flatter bumper for a more premium look.
Inside, the biggest changes are expected around the dashboard and software. Pleos Connect is likely to merge infotainment and instrument functions on a single screen, with a smaller display for speed and navigation. Hyundai may also add premium materials, Bose audio, leather seats with contrast stitching and Level 2+ ADAS features.
For Nepali buyers, the key point is straightforward: a hybrid Creta could make the model more appealing if it arrives here with better efficiency and a wider feature list. Nepal pricing has not been confirmed.
