Federation delegation departs for China
A team from the Nepal Auto Mechanics Business Federation has departed for China on a technical observation tour, with the goal of learning about the latest automotive and workshop technologies that can be applied in Nepal.
According to the Federation’s announcement, the delegates will visit the APEAS Auto Parts Expo Shanghai 2026 and several leading Chinese vehicle and component manufacturers.
What the team will study in China
During the visit, the delegation is expected to focus on:
- Modern auto parts: new-generation components for passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles
- Garage and workshop equipment: diagnostic tools, lifting systems, body repair equipment and other machinery used in professional service centres
- Electric vehicle (EV) technology: battery systems, motors, controllers and charging solutions used in Chinese EVs
- Production systems: how large manufacturers organise assembly lines, quality control and parts logistics
- International best practices: safety standards, environmental norms and service processes followed in advanced markets
The Federation says the team will get *direct, hands-on exposure* to these technologies and practices, rather than only theoretical presentations.
Visit supported by Nepal distributor
The programme includes factory visits to SRM and Joylong, companies known for producing buses and other commercial vehicles, especially in the electric segment.
The Federation has thanked BG Motors, the official distributor of these brands in Nepal, according to the announcement, for arranging access to the plants and coordinating the study tour.
