NAIMA Expo draws 29,000 visitors on day one

Strong start in Kathmandu

The **NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 drew more than 29,000 visitors** on its first day after a grand opening in Kathmandu.

Organizers said 48 new vehicle models were unveiled on Tuesday. Total footfall over the six-day event is expected to reach about 150,000.

Sessions and safety talks

The first day also had a session on Investment and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Mobilizing–Fuel for Economic Growth, moderated by former banker Anil Keshari Shah.

Learning sessions brought in more than 300 participants on Tuesday. Grande International Hospital also presented Basic Life Support and Immediate Care After Road Traffic Accidents.

What buyers can see

The expo runs until Sawan 31 and is focused on sustainable, green and technology-friendly transport.

Electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles are among the main draws. Banks and insurers are also offering special finance and insurance deals.
