
The MHero 1, a full-size electric off-road SUV from **Dongfeng Motor Corporation's MHero brand, has reached Nepal ahead of its public debut at the 18th NADA Auto Show 2026** in Kathmandu.
Display at NADA Auto Show 2026
- MAW Vriddhi will showcase the SUV at the NADA Auto Show 2026, set for Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from August 25 to 30. - The model is also sold internationally as the MHero I 917.
Performance and powertrain
- The pure-electric version runs on four electric motors with a combined peak output of 800 kW (1,088 hp) and 1,400 Nm of torque. - Factory figures claim 0–100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. That's quick for a vehicle this size. - MHero positions it as a high-performance, off-road-focused luxury EV. In concept, it sits in similar territory to the GMC Hummer EV and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Battery, range and off-road hardware
- The BEV variant carries a 142.7 kWh battery pack. - Claimed range is up to 505 km under the CLTC test cycle. Some markets quote around 450 km under WLTC, depending on the test standard and configuration used. - Ground clearance adjusts from about 230 mm up to 335 mm through adjustable air suspension. - Maximum wading depth is rated at 900 mm. - It gets intelligent four-wheel drive with multiple off-road driving modes for different surfaces and difficult terrain.
Design and interior
- The exterior sticks to a boxy, rugged design, with pronounced wheel arches and distinctive door handles. The look draws clear inspiration from the GMC Hummer EV. - Inside sits a large central touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster and a premium cabin layout.

Nepal availability
- For now, the MHero 1 is only on display at NADA. It is not yet on sale in Nepal. - Retail sales are expected to begin from January 2027. Interested buyers may have to wait several months before bookings and deliveries open. - Nepal pricing has not been announced yet.
