M-Hero 917 range-extended EV arrives in Kathmandu
The **M-Hero 917 has been displayed at the NADA Auto Show 2026 in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu**, giving visitors a close look at Dongfeng Motor Corporation’s luxury electric off-road flagship.
Powertrain and range
The showcased M-Hero 917 is a range-extended electric SUV, using a battery-electric drive system supported by a range-extender.
- Battery pack: 65.8 kWh
- Drivetrain: three-motor electric setup
- Total output: 600 kW and 1,050 Nm of torque
With this configuration, the SUV offers electric-only driving of up to 156 km under the WLTC cycle, while its combined driving range is rated at 825 km.
Off-road technology
The M-Hero 917 is engineered for serious off-road use. It features the M ATSM All-Terrain Intelligent System, which actively manages power delivery and traction to suit different surfaces and driving conditions.
Nepal pricing and sales plans have not been announced yet, so the model currently remains a showpiece rather than a buyable SUV for Nepali customers.
