Electric cargo vehicles are gaining traction in Nepal's light commercial sector. Between January and October 2026, the country imported 1,002 electric cargo units. While internal combustion engine vehicles still hold the majority of the market, electric options are increasingly used for goods transport in urban centers, the Terai, and various hill and mountain districts. Their use remains limited in areas with poor road infrastructure.
KAMA has established a strong lead in this segment. The brand imported 546 units during the 10-month period, capturing nearly 55% of the market. Mega Motors distributes the brand, which offers container, pickup, and refrigerated models.

Other brands also maintain a presence in the segment:
- Foton: 143 units (14% share), distributed by MAW Vriddhi.
- Radar: 100 units, distributed by CG Motors.
- Tata: 82 units of the Intra EV, distributed by Sipradi Trading.
- DFAC: 30 units.
- Central: 26 units.
- Maxus: 20 units.
- Switch: 18 units.

Various other brands accounted for the remaining 37 units. KAMA currently holds the top position in the electric cargo market.
