Hero MotoCorp’s next small-capacity ADV bike has been spotted in near-production form in India, pointing to a new off-road model likely around 160cc that would sit below the Xpulse 200 in the lineup. The design patents and spy shots show long-travel suspension, a tall tank with shrouds, front beak, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, dual-purpose tyres, LED projector headlamp and disc brakes at both ends. The bike also appears to have an upswept exhaust and a rear luggage rack, signalling clear touring and trail use.
For Nepali riders, the clearest reference point is Hero’s existing 160 and 200 range here. The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is currently listed across three variants: the Xtreme 160R 4V FI, Xtreme 160R OBD II and Xtreme 160R 4V Dual Channel ABS. Hero also sells the Xtreme 160R, the road-biased Xpulse 200T, Xoom 125R FI, Xoom 125 and Hunk 150R. Kuzu Nepal has not announced a price for these variants in the provided sources. Any new 160cc ADV using the Xtreme 160R 4V engine would likely be priced in the same band or slightly above these bikes in Nepal once it eventually arrives.

Early information from India suggests the new ADV could either revive the Impulse name or expand the Xpulse family, and may use the oil-cooled 163.2cc single from the Xtreme 160R 4V, paired with a fully digital cluster, Bluetooth, navigation and dual-channel ABS. A saree guard in patents points to an India-spec focus, while references to a carburettor hint at separate low-spec versions for export markets. There is still no announced launch date or Nepal import plan, but given Nepal’s reliance on Hero’s Indian portfolio and the existing Xtreme 160R and Xpulse 200T ladder, this bike is shaping up as a future budget adventure option for riders who want more off-road capability than a standard 160 without paying 200cc money.
