Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has filed a design patent in India for the facelifted version of its VF 5 compact SUV. The filing follows sightings of test vehicles on Indian roads, suggesting the company is evaluating the model for the neighbouring market.
Patent images reveal several exterior updates compared to the current version. These include a redesigned front bumper, a new bonnet, and slimmer headlights positioned lower on the fascia. The rear features connected LED tail lamps, and the design includes new alloy wheels. Inside, the updated model is expected to feature a large floating touchscreen and a revised center console.

While this development signals progress for the brand in India, VinFast has not announced an official launch date, specifications, or pricing for the model. Despite earlier reports of a potential distributor selection, the company has yet to establish a presence in Nepal. No official entry or product lineup for the Nepali market has been confirmed by the manufacturer.
