Green SM, backed by Vingroup, has launched an all-electric taxi service in Copenhagen. Denmark is now its first European market.
The move sits inside VinFast’s wider international push. For Nepali EV buyers, it shows the brand building visibility beyond Southeast Asia.
What is being launched
The Copenhagen fleet uses VinFast VF 6 and VinFast VF 8 electric SUVs, according to the company announcement. Green SM says it owns the vehicles directly and uses its own drivers instead of the usual ride-hailing model that connects passengers with independent drivers.
The company says that setup is meant to give more consistent vehicle maintenance, safety, and customer service. Drivers receive training in road safety, customer care, operating procedures, and EV use before joining the service.
How customers can use it
Rides can be booked and paid for through the Green SM mobile app. The app shows the fare before the trip is confirmed.
The company says this is meant to make pricing clearer for users.
To promote the launch, Green SM is offering new customers five discount vouchers, each giving 25% off, up to 100 Danish kroner per ride. That is about Rs 2,000 at recent exchange rates. The full capped value per voucher is roughly Rs 2,000 as well. The offer is valid until September 30, according to the announcement.
Why it matters
Green SM CEO Richard Nabil Chahine said Copenhagen was selected because of the city’s strong focus on sustainable mobility. The company plans to spend its first phase meeting Danish rules, building local operations, and improving service based on customer feedback before moving into more European markets.
