Citroen has unveiled the 2CV Concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. This new vehicle reimagines the classic 2CV as an affordable, all-electric hatchback for urban environments.
The concept measures 3.76 meters in length. It features design cues from the original model, including a ribbed hood, round headlights, and a retractable fabric roof. The interior is minimalist, featuring removable bench seats and a portable storage basket that functions as a center console. The doors also include storage space designed to carry eggs, a nod to the original car's design brief.
Citroen intends for this concept to preview a production model scheduled for release by 2028. The brand is targeting a starting price of approximately 15,000 euros. While technical specifications such as battery capacity and motor output remain undisclosed, the vehicle is positioned to sit between the Ami and the C3 in the brand's global lineup.
This development remains a concept, and no production details have been confirmed.
