Smart has unveiled the all-new #2 at the Paris Motor Show. This ultra-compact electric car is designed specifically for crowded urban environments and narrow streets.
Measuring approximately 2.7 meters in length, the vehicle is built on a new compact architecture platform. It features a rear-wheel-drive system powered by a 60 kW electric motor. The car reaches a top speed of 140 km/h and has a turning circle of 6.95 meters.
Energy is stored in a 35.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This setup provides a range of up to 290 kilometers on a full charge. The system supports 65 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 20 minutes.
The interior includes a bench-style seat and an S-shaped cockpit. A notable feature is the split tailgate, which can support up to 120 kilograms of weight and serve as a platform for cargo. The Smart #2 is currently intended for markets in Europe and China.
