The Xpeng Mona L05 EREV recently completed a long-distance road test in China, covering 1,194.2 kilometers without needing to recharge or refuel. The crossover traveled from Guangzhou to Wenzhou along the G228 highway, a journey that lasted 23 hours and 14 minutes.
During the test, the vehicle operated in "Ultra Power Saving Mode" with the air conditioning set to 24 degrees Celsius. The car covered the first 252.7 kilometers using only its battery, recording an energy consumption of 11.7 kWh per 100 kilometers. Once the battery reached a lower state, the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine activated to act as a generator. The vehicle maintained an average fuel consumption of 3.7 liters per 100 kilometers for the remainder of the trip.

The Mona L05 EREV features a 245-horsepower rear-wheel-drive electric motor and a 37.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Measuring 4,870 mm in length, the crossover includes a 17.3-inch infotainment screen and a 26.8-inch head-up display.
