Bajaj Auto is gearing up to make a significant impact in the Nepalese electric scooter market with the introduction of two new Chetak variants – Chetak C2501 and Chetak C3503 – at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in August. This move is part of a broader strategy by Bajaj to refresh its product line-up with 10 new models in the next six weeks, including updates to the popular Pulsar series.

Bajaj already sells the Chetak 3501 in Nepal, priced at around Rs 3.25 lakh, as a single, top-spec variant in the market. According to Bajaj’s plans reported earlier, the 3502 and 3503 were expected to follow after gauging customer response to the 3501.
Bajaj Chetak C2501: expected affordable city EV
In India, the Chetak C2501 was launched in January 2026 as the most affordable Chetak model, with an ex-showroom price of around ₹91,399 and a company-claimed IDC range of 113 km from a 2.5 kWh battery pack.
For Nepal, according to the announcement, the C2501 is expected to come with a 2.5 kWh battery, a claimed range of about 113 km and a top speed of around 55–60 km/h. Charging time is expected to be under 4 hours with the standard charger, based on the Indian specification.
The Chetak 2501 is positioned as the most affordable model in the range. It features a round LED headlamp, LED DRLs, a U-shaped LED tail lamp, and a flat floorboard. The scooter weighs 107 kg and offers 25 liters of under-seat storage. It comes equipped with an LCD instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, and Eco and Sport riding modes.
If pricing follows the pattern of the existing Chetak 3501 in Nepal and Indian pricing gaps, the C2501 is likely to be positioned as a more accessible option, potentially closer to Rs 2–2.5 lakh in Nepal (indicative only; final price will depend on local taxes and Bajaj’s pricing strategy).

Bajaj Chetak C3503: longer range, more features
Indian market data shows the Chetak 3.5 kWh variants deliver around 151–153 km claimed range, with the Chetak 3503 quoted at about 151 km. The 3.5 kWh battery also supports higher top speeds (around 63 km/h in Indian spec) and adds more premium equipment compared to the base model.
According to the announcement, the Chetak C3503 for Nepal is expected to use a 3.5 kWh battery, offer an IDC range of around 150+ km per charge, and include a digital instrument cluster with connected and smart features aimed at riders who want more technology and convenience.
The Chetak 3503 is the premium version of the lineup. It features a 35-liter boot, a color LCD display, full-metal body, hill-hold assist, Eco and Sport modes, Bluetooth connectivity, call and notification alerts, music controls, reverse mode, and a combined braking system.
Pricing for the 3503 in Nepal has not been confirmed. In India, it sits below the top-spec 3501, so it could be priced slightly lower than the existing Chetak 3501 at roughly Rs 3.25 lakh in Nepal.
