Tesla has unveiled a redesigned version of its next-generation Roadster at a demonstration in Texas. The electric sports car features SpaceX-developed cold-gas thrusters that allow it to accelerate, hover, and perform mid-air rotations.
Designers have moved toward a look inspired by the Cybertruck and fighter jets. The vehicle uses lightweight materials like magnesium, titanium, and carbon fiber. Inside, the cabin features a steering yoke and a series of digital displays.
Tesla has introduced three distinct versions of the car:
- Performance: A two-seater designed for road use with active aerodynamics.
- Thrust: A race-ready two-seater featuring rear-mounted thrusters for sub-0.9-second 0-97 km/h acceleration.
- Rocket: A single-seat, track-only version with 10 thrusters for flight-like maneuvers and a 0-97 km/h time under 0.59 seconds.
The car uses a suction system to increase down-force, which Tesla claims can hold the vehicle upside down while stationary. The company states the Roadster will have a range exceeding 483 km on a single charge.

Production is currently scheduled to start in 2028. Final pricing and full technical specifications for the three versions have not been confirmed. As this is a global reveal of a prototype, there is no information regarding a potential arrival in Nepal.
