Tata Tigor facelift may add more kit, EV version too

Tata’s Tigor facelift is expected within weeks in India, with styling and feature updates borrowed from the new Tiago. For Nepal, the main takeaway is that any refreshed Tata compact sedan or EV would likely sit around the brand’s current entry-level pricing, but no Nepal launch has been announced.

Tata is expected to bring in a refreshed Tigor in India in the coming weeks, with design and equipment changes similar to the recently updated Tiago. The report is still unofficial, so this remains a rumour rather than a confirmed launch.

For Nepali buyers, the closest Tata reference points already on sale are the Tiago at Rs 34.99 lakh, Nexon at Rs 34.99 lakh–Rs 42.99 lakh, Punch EV at Rs 37.99 lakh–Rs 39.99 lakh, XPRES-T EV at Rs 38.49 lakh, and Punch at Rs 39.99 lakh. That means a future Tigor or Tigor EV, if Tata or its Nepal distributor decides to bring it here, would likely be positioned around the brand’s entry-level end rather than above the Nexon.

According to the report, the facelifted Tigor should get a more upright front end, slimmer headlamps with integrated DRLs, a new bumper, updated tail-lamps and minor alloy-wheel changes. Inside, it could borrow the Tiago’s larger touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, Type-C ports, auto-folding mirrors and a 360-degree camera.

The story also says Tata may offer 6 airbags as standard, while keeping the current 1.2-litre petrol, factory-fitted CNG, and AMT/manual options unchanged. The EV version is expected to mirror the Tiago EV facelift’s battery and motor setup, but Tata has not confirmed any Nepal pricing, booking window or local launch plan.
