The Tata Sierra EV made its public debut at the NADA Auto Show 2026. While the vehicle is present in Nepal and pre-bookings are open, the official price and final variant lineup remain unconfirmed by Sipradi Trading.
Positioning in the Tata Lineup
This electric SUV sits above the current Tata electric portfolio in Nepal. For context, the brand currently offers the following models:
- Tata Tiago EV: Rs 28.99 lakh – Rs 29.99 lakh
- Tata Tigor EV: Rs 29.99 lakh – Rs 34 lakh
- Tata Altroz: Rs 30.99 lakh – Rs 36.99 lakh
- Tata Punch EV: Rs 33.99 lakh – Rs 38.99 lakh

Range Expectations
Tata lists a 665 km range for the 75 kWh battery based on standardized testing. This figure assumes flat roads and steady, gentle speeds. Real-world driving in Nepal involves different variables.
Expect a range of 480–520 km in mixed conditions. Highway runs with steady speeds typically yield 400–460 km. Hilly terrain, cold mornings, and heavy air conditioning use will pull these numbers lower. Plan your trips with a buffer below the 450 km mark to ensure you never run low on power.
Charging and Efficiency

Fast charging is a key feature for long-distance travel. Tata claims the system can add 263 km of range in 15 minutes. This speed depends on the charger's output and the battery's state of charge. Charging slows down significantly once the battery passes 80%.

Home charging remains the most cost-effective method for daily use. A full 75 kWh charge takes over 10 hours on a standard home socket. Installing a dedicated home charger is recommended for convenience.
Practicality on Nepali Roads

With 205 mm of ground clearance, the Sierra EV is built to handle speed breakers and monsoon-damaged roads better than lower-slung electric cars. The 228 kW motor provides sufficient power for steep climbs. Regenerative braking helps recover energy on descents, which helps offset the high consumption during uphill climbs.
Before finalizing your booking, ask the dealer for the final price, battery warranty terms, and the location of the nearest fast-charging stations.

The Sierra EV offers a premium, long-range option for Nepali buyers, but wait for the official price announcement before making your final decision.
