Rathi Trading Company Pvt. Ltd. has opened Rathi Auto Works and Rathi Charging Network in Manohara, Bhaktapur, giving EV users a new service and charging base in Nepal.
The company says the Bhaktapur site can charge 12 vehicles at once and combines servicing, charging, washing, parking, a café, and live viewing of workshop activity in one place.
Rathi Trading has also started a 480 kW charging station in Kathmandu and a 640 kW station in Gaindakot, Nawalparasi. The company plans to expand charging points from east to west across major cities this year, including more 4 MW facilities.
For buyers, the company is currently offering the RZM E5 and R5 electric vans. The RZM E5 uses a 53.5 kWh CATL third-generation battery and is said to deliver about 300 km of range on the WLTP cycle.
The R5 comes with 77.28 kWh and 86.55 kWh battery options, with claimed ranges of 330 km and 400 km respectively. It can be charged in 45 minutes using a 60 kW charger.
The vans also come with 180 mm ground clearance, bucket seats, four-wheel disc brakes, auto hold, hill assist, power AC, and a 7-year/4 lakh km battery warranty.
