Toyota has officially confirmed that the next-generation Fortuner will make its global debut on December 1, 2026. The updated three-row SUV is expected to feature significant design and interior revisions while maintaining its established platform and mechanical foundation.
In the current Nepal market, the Toyota Fortuner is available in two variants. The manual transmission model is priced at Rs 270 lakh, while the automatic transmission version is priced at Rs 283 lakh. This model sits above the Toyota RAV4 at Rs 213 lakh and the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 at Rs 250 lakh. It is positioned below the Toyota Land Cruiser 250, which ranges from Rs 322 lakh to Rs 379 lakh.
The new model is expected to adopt exterior styling cues inspired by the latest Toyota Hilux, though it will retain its own distinct identity. Anticipated interior upgrades include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster. Higher variants may offer advanced features such as a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
Toyota is expected to retain the IMV ladder-frame chassis for the new SUV. Mechanical options likely include the existing 2.7-litre petrol engine and 2.8-litre diesel engine, with higher variants potentially featuring a 48V mild-hybrid system. Suspension adjustments are also expected to improve overall ride comfort and handling.
Official pricing and specific variant details for the new-generation Fortuner have not been announced. It remains unclear if the updated lineup will continue to include a separate Legender version.
