Nepal Railway Company Limited has temporarily suspended train operations on the Jaynagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha railway section. According to the company, all passenger services on this cross-border route are stopped until further notice.

Reason for the suspension

The company’s central office in Janakpurdham said the decision was taken following a curfew order from the Dhanusha District Administration Office. The curfew has been imposed for security reasons, and the railway operator has decided that running trains during this period could put passengers at risk.

Based on the notice, Nepal Railway Company has clarified that services cannot operate as long as the curfew remains in place. The company has stated that passenger safety is the first priority in making this decision.

• All regular trains on the Jaynagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha line are currently cancelled.
