Honda is reported to be outsourcing development of a new vehicle platform to Tata Technologies. If that happens, it would be a rare outside partnership for the Japanese brand.
The architecture is expected to support multiple hybrid and electrified models for Asia and other markets. North America is not expected to use it.

For Nepal, the link is indirect but real. Honda’s future India-bound products often shape what reaches our market through regional imports.
If the platform goes into models sold in India, Nepali buyers could later see more cost-conscious hybrid or electric Hondas. Nepal pricing and launch timing have not been confirmed.

Honda is also targeting a 50% cut in development cost, engineering workload and development time under its "Triple Half" strategy. The company has not said when the platform will be ready or which models will get it first.

Honda’s India roadmap includes the 0 Alpha electric SUV, a new sub-4 metre SUV and an all-new midsize SUV over the next few years. It has 10 new cars planned by 2030.
