Dhading’s Bhairavi Enterprises becomes Nepal’s top fuel-selling petrol pump

Bhairavi Enterprises leads national fuel sales

Bhairavi Enterprises at Nilkantha Municipality in Dhading has again emerged as Nepal’s highest fuel-selling petrol pump, based on Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) data for fiscal year 2082/83.

According to NOC’s Madhesh Provincial Office in Amlekhgunj, Bhairavi Enterprises purchased petrol and diesel worth around Rs 199.11 crore from the corporation in the last fiscal year. With dealer margin and transport costs added at retail, its total annual fuel turnover is estimated to exceed Rs 200 crore.

This is the third consecutive year that Bhairavi Enterprises has held the top spot in fuel sales among approximately 1,530 petrol pumps operating across Nepal.

Other high-selling pumps across Nepal

NOC’s Bagmati Provincial Office in Thankot reports that several outlets in Kathmandu Valley and major cities have also crossed Rs 1 billion in annual fuel purchases:

  • Prhari Kalyan Kosh Petrol Pump, Samakhusi (Kathmandu)Rs 185.53 crore worth of fuel purchased, ranked second nationwide.
  • Kailash Oil Distributors, Narayangadh Chowk (Chitwan) – fuel purchases of about Rs 167.91 crore, ranked third.
  • Ripunardini Petrol Station, Bhadrakali (Kathmandu), operated by Nepal Army – about Rs 167.36 crore, ranked fourth.
  • Sajha Sewa Cooperative, Pulchowk (Lalitpur) – around Rs 141.50 crore, ranked fifth.
  • Milan Brothers Suppliers, Butwal – roughly Rs 134.93 crore, ranked sixth.

From seventh to tenth position, the high-volume pumps are all in the Kathmandu Valley:

  • Prhari Kalyan Kosh Petrol Pump, Naxal – about Rs 133.89 crore.
  • Bhaktapur Fuel Center, Bhaktapur – around Rs 118.76 crore.
  • Satyanarayan Pvt. Ltd., Balaju (Kathmandu) – about Rs 117.94 crore.
  • Bagmati Oil Suppliers, Kathmandu – around Rs 117.07 crore.

Growing number of Rs 1 billion–plus pumps

The Petroleum Dealers National Association states that 16 petrol pumps across Nepal now record more than Rs 100 crore (Rs 1 billion) in annual fuel turnover.

Outside the top 10 list, the following outlets are also reported to have crossed the Rs 1 billion mark:

  • Sajha petrol pump, Chitwan
  • Bhairavi Oil, Nuwakot
  • Prhari Kalyan Kendra, Pathlaiya (Bara)
  • Akash Petroleum, Amlekhgunj
  • Shaktidevi, Lagankhel, operated by Armed Police Force
  • Himal Enterprises, Kathmandu

For vehicle owners and fleet operators, these figures highlight where major fuel supply hubs are located, particularly along key highways and in urban centers. High-volume pumps often indicate strong customer flow, regular tanker supply and more frequent fuel quality checks, which can be useful factors when choosing where to refuel.
