Next-gen Dacia Spring EV revealed for Europe

Dacia has unveiled the second-generation Spring EV for the European market. The compact electric hatchback gets a new design and more modern equipment.

Design and exterior

The new Spring sits on Renault Group's RGEV Small platform and keeps a boxy profile. It gets sharp LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, a gloss-black front fascia and a two-tone front bumper. At the rear are C-shaped LED tail-lamps linked by a black trim strip. The Dacia lettering stretches across the tailgate.

Cabin and features

Inside, the EV has a two-tone dashboard built around a 10.1-inch touchscreen at the centre. A three-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster sit ahead of the driver.

Battery, motor and performance

The second-gen Spring runs a 27.5 kWh battery paired with a single electric motor. The motor makes 80.5 BHP and 175 Nm, sent to the front wheels. Dacia claims a 0–100 km/h time of 12.1 seconds. Range stands at 250 km on a single charge.

Charging

The Spring supports 50 kW DC fast charging. The battery goes from 15% to 80% in around 28 minutes.

Dacia has not announced Nepal availability or pricing. For now, this remains a model to watch from abroad.
