Volkswagen has unveiled the all-new Tukan pickup in Brazil. It previews a compact workhorse scheduled to go on sale there in early 2027. The company is developing the Tukan exclusively for Latin American markets. There are no announced plans to offer it in Nepal.
What is the VW Tukan?

Design highlights include an upright front with connected LED DRLs and squared-off wheel arches. The tailgate is stamped with "TUKAN." The Tukan will replace the long-running Saveiro in its home region.
What this means for Nepal
Volkswagen already sells the Taigun and Virtus in Nepal through Pooja International Nepal. No distributor has confirmed plans to bring in the Tukan. Nepali buyers looking for a compact pickup will have to stick with existing options from Japanese, Indian and Chinese brands for now. If Volkswagen ever expands the Tukan beyond Latin America, it could interest small business owners and private buyers here.
Nepal pricing, variants and launch timeline have not been announced. Any Nepal entry remains speculative at this stage.
