Hyundai Creta, Alcazar get Lounge Editions in India; what it means for Nepal

Hyundai has introduced Lounge Editions of the Creta, Alcazar and Creta Electric in India, adding a factory-fitted rear entertainment screen and cosmetic upgrades aimed at buyers who spend more time in the back seat.

Where this sits against Hyundai’s Nepal line-up

In Nepal, the Hyundai Creta petrol range in our catalog runs from Rs 19,22,000 to Rs 25,22,000 ex-showroom across 10 variants.

On the electric side, Kuzu Nepal has not announced a price for the Creta EV, Kona, Venue, Venue F/L or Aura variants mentioned in the draft, so those figures should be left out.

These figures mean any future Lounge-style variant for Nepal would likely sit at the top end of the Creta price band, above most existing trims.

What India’s Lounge Editions add

The new Lounge Editions in India focus on rear comfort and show where future Creta and Creta EV specs could go:

• All three SUVs get an 11.6-inch rear seat entertainment screen. It supports OTT streaming, video, interactive games, phone mirroring and apps via a certified app store.
• The system is paired with a Bose 8-speaker audio setup with a front centre speaker and subwoofer, aimed at a more immersive cabin.
• Cabins receive Lounge-specific interiors: silver inserts, Moonwhite ambient lighting, new seat patterns and headrest cushions with Lounge branding.
• Outside, Hyundai adds a new Golden Bronze colour with blackened elements such as skid plates, side sill garnish, spoiler, roof rails, C‑pillar garnish, ORVMs and larger matte-black alloy wheels.

Creta Lounge Edition (India)

• Based on the King trims.
• Two powertrains: 1.5-litre MPi petrol with IVT and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel with automatic.
• Petrol IVT King Lounge and Diesel AT King Lounge get the full black exterior treatment and 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels.

Alcazar Lounge Edition (India)

• Shifts to an exclusive 5-seat layout, instead of the usual three-row arrangement.
• Based on the Signature trim, with 1.5-litre CRDi diesel automatic only.
• Adds voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof on top of the rear screen and Lounge interior.
• Gets black skid plates, side sill garnish, spoiler, roof rails, ORVMs and 18-inch black alloy wheels.

Creta Electric Lounge Edition (India)

• Built on the Excellence Long Range variant.
• Lounge pack adds the rear entertainment screen plus a dashcam and rear wireless charger.
• Exterior has black skid plates, side sill garnish, spoiler, roof rails, C‑pillar garnish, ORVMs and 17-inch black aero alloy wheels.

Nepal angle: what could reach our market?

There is no official confirmation yet that Hyundai Nepal will bring these Lounge Editions, or similar 5-seat Alcazar and Creta Electric Lounge trims. Status is still unclear for our market. Import decisions typically follow India, and Creta already forms the backbone of Hyundai’s SUV offerings here.

For Nepali buyers, the important takeaway is that future high-spec Creta variants here could start to mirror India’s Lounge focus, especially the rear entertainment screen and blacked-out styling. If that happens, expect them to sit near the upper end of the current Creta price band (around Rs 25,22,000).

Until Hyundai’s Nepal distributor announces imported Lounge Editions or a similar local assembly spec, Nepal pricing and launch timeline remain unconfirmed.
