Dongfeng has entered Nepal’s electric bus market with two models now available through Aayam Intercontinental, the brand’s authorised distributor in the country.
What is on offer
The lineup includes the City EV and Long Range EV. The City EV costs Rs 11.45 lakh and the Long Range EV costs Rs 12.4 lakh. Customers who book either bus during the **NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 will receive an Rs 5 lakh discount**.
Both buses have two doors and seating for 25 to 29 passengers. They use a 220 kWh permanent magnet synchronous motor with 1,500 Nm of maximum torque.
The battery choices are 103.47 kWh and 140 kWh. Dongfeng says the City EV can travel 250 km on the CLTC cycle. The Long Range EV can go up to 350 km on a full charge.
Size and warranty
Both buses have 320 mm ground clearance. Their dimensions are 7,180 mm long, 2,365 mm wide and 2,980 mm high, with a 3,750 mm wheelbase.
Dongfeng offers a 5-year or 200,000 km battery warranty, extendable to 8 years or 400,000 km. The motor is covered for 5 years or 100,000 km.
Aayam Intercontinental says the buses were brought in to meet demand for larger EVs in Nepal. The company also plans to add 9-meter and 12-meter electric buses with 38 and 52 seats in the near future.
